Statement 1:
$$\frac{1}{5}<\frac{1}{1+x}<\frac{1}{2}$$

$$2<1+x<5$$

$$1<x<4$$

Since x is integer it should be either 2 or 3. Unable to determine which one. Insufficient

Statement 2:

$$(x-3)(x-4)=0$$
x is either 3 or 4. Insufficient

After combining both statements it's clear that x=3

If x is an integer, what is the value of x?

(1) $$\frac{1}{5}<\frac{1}{x+1}<\frac{1}{2}$$. Since x is an integer, the x+1=4 or x+1=3, from which it follows that x=3 or x=2. Not sufficient.

(2) (x-3)(x-4)=0 --> x=3 or x=4. Not sufficient.

(1)+(2) Common value is x=3. Sufficient.
