Stmt1 - x^2 > 9, which means x < -3 or x > 3....but here x is negative
So x < -3, Sufficient
Stmt 2 - x^3 < -9, implies x < -2 (approx as -2^3 = -8)
So x can be < -3 or > -3, Insufficient

Hence, option A
