Just in case anybody is interested in establishing communication platform for class 2013 - I've created Google group for us. In case you have been accepted for the class 2013 and willing to communicate with fellow candidates, please let me know your e-mail (either in PM or vdobrikov@gmail.com) so that I can send you the invitation to the group.

I've created the group today so it contains only one member at the moment and is empty, but it may be useful once more people join. :-)

Hi Everyone
I have also applied to round 1.
My profile is as follows:
Spanish, 32y, 730 GMAT.
Atypical profile regarding work experience: 2-3y WE at a company (cosmetics/biotech doing business development)
But I have a PhD in Biophysics from MIT in Boston, where I studied and did research for 7 years. That is much harder and a more of a transformational experience that any job, just that the story needs to be communicated properly so AdCom take it as relevant work experience...
My goals are to combine my scientific knowledge with the business and leadership skills to become and entrepreneur in the Bio field.

Hi Ramon,

Your profile is a bit typical. However, your work experience and academics are decent & impressive. You need to highlight your research as much as your PhD in Biophysics and work experience in front of the adcom. You would need to cleverly prepare yourself for question like, your rationale behind applying for a specific Buisness school, about you’re prolonged research activity, why it took such a long time to complete the research so on and so forth.

Generally, B Schools are apprehensive about considering research as a Work Experience. However your case is a bit different here, as your research duration is for a very long time and a part of it may be considered it as a work experience only if is presented/communicated in a proper way to the Admission Committee.

Apart from work experience and academics, IMD also focuses on your extracurricular activities and your professional achievements which you would need to highlight in front of the adcom either in your essays or case study.

Hi. I am attending 24th May Singapore, too. I am planning to arrive on 23rd evening for cocktail bar event. Don't you have a plan to join there? In addition, did you make hotel reservation? Now I am looking for cheaper hotels, because the Singapore Mandarin Oriental Hotel is very expensive. T.T

Hi guys,

Does anyone have any update on the last day to receive call for interview if applied for April 1 deadline? Is it May 12th or any further?

And IMD sends official letter of rejection in case of not being shortlisted. Has anyone (unfortunately) received such letter? In my view rejection is better than waiting..
