Hi, My GMAT score is 740 (Q50,V41) , AWA -6 and IR-3 What imapact will the low IR score have on my MBA admissions ? I plan to apply in top b-schools like Wharton, Stern, Kellogg Should I retake the GMAT ? Please provide some opinion regarding this.
Since the IR section on the GMAT is still relatively new most schools are still sorting out there stance on what these scores mean. Early indicators do suggest that there's not a huge correlation between that score and performance in b-school so the majority of schools are not really using it as an assessment tool. This could change as schools get more information and is probably still even now a school by school decision. but overall it does not mean much and I would not recommend taking your GMAT over to improve this, there are just better uses of your time during the application season.
