I had switched my Job in May 2019. I had worked for 4.25yrs in my previous organisation. I am working in the oil&gas sector in an engineering role. I am planning to apply for ISB&IIMs(Executive MBA) for April 2020 intake. Would my recent job switch pose a challenge for my applications? I would like to have insights from experts or applicants with similar experience.

Thanks for your query.

The recent job change will definitely raise a few questions; changing a job so close to your application deadline always invites questions; having said that, how the Admissions Committee perceives your switch will depend on how well you present your job change in terms of growth, leadership opportunities, and suitability for the MBA. If you do so, you do not have much to worry about. Do ensure that you perform in your role and garner plenty of talking points for your essays.

In case you do not happen to take a recommendation from your supervisor in the new job (which will possibly the case), please also address the reason for the same in your application.
