Hi koolanu2007,

Since your CAT scores are fairly consistent, I'd like to know a bit more about how you took those CATS:

1) Did you take the ENTIRE CAT each time (including the Essay and IR sections)?
2) Did you take them at home?
3) Did you take them at the same time of day as your Official GMAT?
4) Did you ever do ANYTHING during your CATs that you couldn't do on Test Day (pause the CAT, skip sections, take longer breaks, etc.)?
5) Did you ever take a CAT more than once?

GMAT assassins aren't born, they're made,
Rich

I have 15 days left for my GMAT. My preparation has been fairly consistent so far. I have scored upwards 650 in the four mocks I have taken thus far (expect for KAPLAN). Scores have been mentioned below.

PowerPrep 1: 650 V: 33 Q: 47
PowerPrep 2: 660 V: 34 Q: 43
GMAT Prep 1: 680 V: 35 Q: 48
Manhattan 1: 670 V: 35 Q: 47
KAPLAN Test: 580 V: 30 Q: 40

I am really looking forward to score 700+ in the main exam. Any tips/suggestions from fellow test takers and experienced admins would be highly appreciated. Much thanks :)

From you GMAT Prep score, you seem to be in range of your target score. In the last 15 days, the best strategy would be to focus on the official questions and make sure you solve all of the OG and Verbal Review. You can easily gain some points on the quants section of the GMAT if you go through the fundamentals again from the course/book you have been following

Also make sure that you take the GMAT Prep CAT2 by mimicking the exams conditions exactly i.e. taking both the AWA and the IR sections.

If you have maintained an error log, this is a good time to focus on that and take lessons from your errors so that you do not repeat the same mistake again.

Here are some tips for the test day that might help you:

1. Do not think about the final score at any point of time
2. Once done with a section forget about it and concentrate on the next one.
3. Take both the breaks. It helps you to freshen up
4. Take a note of the time when you are out for break. Do not exceed the break
5. Do not rush through the last 5 questions in the verbal sections in a bid to see your final score
6. Make sure you complete the section. There is a high penalty for not completing the test

All the best!

Thanks a lot. I would definitely stick to the aforementioned. :-D
