Would like the answer to the first question.
I am getting the Median for >2 years as 3.525 and <2 years as 2.
Hence the answer comes out to be 1.7625. Can anyone tell me why is the answer 1.5 and not 2?

In a company's recent employee satisfaction survey, each employee was asked to rate his or her satisfaction in each of 6 categories on a scale from 1 (lowest) to 6 (highest) and was asked to indicate whether he or she had plans to leave the company within the next 2 years. For each category, the graph shows the average (arithmetic mean) rating given by employees planning to leave within 2 years and the average rating given by employees planning to stay for more than 2 years.

Select from each drop-down menu the option that creates the most accurate statement based on the information provided.

For the 6 categories, the median of the average ratings given by employees planning to stay for more than 2 years was greater than that for employees planning to leave within 2 years by approximately .

Among the 6 categories, the absolute value of the difference between the average rating given by employees planning to stay for more than 2 years and the average rating given by employees planning to leave within 2 years was greatest for

OFFICIAL EXPLANTOIN:

RO1:

The chart shows a blue bar and a grey bar for each of the 6 categories. The number above each category’s blue bar is the average rating in that category given by employees planning to leave within 2 years, and the number above each category’s grey bar is the average rating in that category given by employees planning to stay at least two years. For the 6 categories, the median of the average ratings given by employees planning to stay for more than 2 years is halfway between their 3rd-highest average rating, 3.60, and their 4th-highest, 3.45. That is, this median is (3.6 + 3.45) / 2 = 3.525. But the median of the average ratings employees planning to leave within 2 years is 2.0, since these employees' 3rd-highest average rating and their 4th-highest are both 2.0. Thus, the median of the average ratings given by the employees planning to stay for more than 2 years was greater than the median of the average ratings given by the employees planning to leave within 2 years by 3.525 − 2.0 = 1.525 ≈ 1.5.

The correct answer is 1.5.

RO2:

For the advancement opportunities category, the absolute value of the difference between the average rating given by employees planning to stay for more than 2 years and the average rating given by those planning to leave within 2 years is |4.2 − 2.2| = 2.0. For each of the other categories, the absolute value of the difference between the two average ratings given by these two sets of employees is 1.65 or less.

The correct answer is advancement opportunities.

Error is in the calculation part. 3.525 -2 is 1.525 ~1.5
