Total Days in the month of september = 30
Case 1: Dates{1, 8, 15, 22, 29} are mondays
Case 2: Dates{2, 9, 16, 23, 30} are mondays i.e. Dates{1, 8, 15, 22, 29} are Sundays
There are only two possibilities which 1st of september can fall on 7 days hence
Total outcomes = 7
Favorable outcomes = 2 (case 1 and 2)
Probability = 2/7
Answer: Option B

- • September has 30 days. As there are 7 days in a week.
- o So, September has 4 weeks and 2 days.
- Hence, there will be at least 4 Mondays in September.
- o Hence, the probability that either one of these two days can be a Monday \(= \frac{1}{7} +\frac{1}{7} = \frac{2}{7}\)
