In a rectangular coordinate system, does the point (1,1) lie on line q?
(1) The slope of q is not 1.
Slope can be 0 or any other value .. Not sufficient .
(2) Line q does not pass through point (0,0).
It can pass through (1,1) or (2,1 ) . Not Sufficient .
Combining above .. also Not sufficient since the line may or may not pass through (1,1)

Stat2: Line q does not pass through point (0,0).
We don't slope and 1 point to determine line q. Not sufficient.
Combining both, line q can be any slope except 45 degree (m=1) and pass through any point except (1,1). So, again, Not sufficient..
So, I think E.
