In a survey of 200 people, 80% said they used product X, product Y, or both. Of those people surveyed who used at least one of the two products, 25% used only product X and 25% used both. How many people used product Y?

(A) 40
(B) 80
(C) 100
(D) 120
(E) 160

Need explanation to the problem.

People who used at least one of X and Y = 80% of 200 = 160

160 = Only X + Only Y + Both
(covers all three regions of the venn digram of two overlapping sets)

160 = 40 + Only Y + 40
Only Y = 80

People who used Y = Only Y + Both = 80 + 40 = 120

Answer (D)

Karishma , this problem can be solved without the caluacation unlike done by you right? Because of the 160 if i remove the 40 cases of exactly one left will be a circle of full b = 120
