In an examination hall, all students of two different classes A & B were sitting with at least one student of each class. Each student of class A gave 3 exams and each student of class B gave 4 exams. If the number of students in class A was less than the number of students in class B, what was the number of class A students in the hall?
(1) The total number of exams taken by all students put together was 40.
(2) If 5 students from class B leave the hall, the total number of exams will be reduced to 20.
