In Teetown 50 percent of the people have blue eyes and blond hair. What percent of the people in Teetown have blue eyes but do not have blond hair?

(1) 70 percent of the people in Teetown have blond hair.
(2) 60 percent of the people in Teetown have blue eyes.

Hi Bunuel,

Can you please help to clarify the below doubt.

Let the Total Number of People in Teetown be X.
a = Only Blue Eye.
b = Only Blond Hair.
c = Both Blue Eye & Blond Hair.

Is it right to write a + b + c = X? or we need to consider that there might be few people without Blue Eye & Blond Hair.
If a + b + c = X, then should D be the answer??

(1) Since we are not told the Percentage of "None Group", (1) is clearly insufficient (Even if you'll end up with some answer)

(2) on the other hand, doesn't require to account for the "None Group"

P(Blue Eyes) = P(Only Blue Eyes) + P(Blond Hair AND Blue Eyes)
60% = P(Only Blue Eyes) + 50%
P(Only Blue Eyes) = 10%
