CONCEPT: Square is a type of Rhombus
Diagonals of the square are equal and bisect each other @90º
i.e. Area of Square \(= (\frac{1}{2})*d_1*d_2\) (where \(d_1\) and \(d_2\) are lengths of diagonals)
i.e. Area of the square = Area of Rhombus \(= (\frac{1}{2})*6*6 = 18\)
Answer: Option D

Relationship between side and diagonal of the square: S=\(\frac{D}{\sqrt{2}}\)
S=\(\frac{6}{\sqrt{2}}\)=3*\(\sqrt{2}\)
Area of a square=\(S^2\)=\((3*\sqrt{2})^2\)=18
