Why do you feel so ?

2 Independent sentences are connected using semi colon + FANBOYS ...

Use of semi colon and ‘and’ seems suspicious. Generally, sentence following a semi colon is an independent clauses. In choice D, the following sentence is definitely an independent clause, but the use of and is unnecessary. The sentence would have still made a perfect sense without using and at the start of an independent clause.
Can anybody please shed some more light on the usage of as in this seemingly correct choice?
Thank you!

I understand that technically " an entire lifetime's supply of egg cells " is singular, hence "is produced" is correct.
However, if we see meaning wise, can "entire lifetime's supply" be "produced" or "egg cells" are "produced"

Can anyone shed some light on this?

Hello everyone,

We hope this finds you well.

To clear up any meaning-related doubt about this sentence, it is entirely logical to say that the cells of the body are "produced".

We hope this helps.
All the best!
