most of the times cubic or higher powered Inequalities get reduced to lower power terms.
- \(x^3 - x < 0\), here in order to find the range we can reduce this to : \(x(x+1)(x-1) < 0\)
\(\frac{x^3 - 8}{x^2+2x+4 }< 0\) this gets reduced to: \(x - 2 < 0\)

There is no such limitation placed on questions of Inequality in GMAT. You can always expect the questions in higher power. However,
1) You must trust that GMAT can NOT give you a lengthy problem
2) The hard problems with higher degree equations/inequations can be REPHRASED to lower power such as the following problem here
