From what I have seen so far, I genuinely agree with all points mentioned in the video.
However, while I am still in the middle of the MBA experience, as a European doing his MBA in the US I would like to stress the following point, as blunt as it may sound:

Monetary compensation.

I am making around 3x as much as an intern in the states as I was making while working full-time back home.
Comparable jumps in salary would have not been possible even with quick, successive promotions in my previous company.

Thank you for the comment! Really appreciate it!
Congrats on your internship and thrilled to hear about the comp side of it.

I do have to say that he perspective changes quite a bit once you get a job and settle in the US. Expenses related to rent, car, lifestyle (being tired of being a broke student) as well as taxes will take a toll on the comp. I know it is not the same as EU taxes but things add up, esp if you have a family and soon you are living paycheck to paycheck

Completely agree, I learned from classmates that are parents how quickly expenses add up once children are in the picture.

What I am trying to convey to applicants is more along the lines of:

Higher tuition in the US (as compared to EU/Asia) can, at least partly, be offset by higher salaries out of b-school.
While this doesn´t hold true throughout all industries and positions, the compensation for the same role in the same firm tends to be noticeably higher in the US (e.g. Tech/Consulting).

TLDR; Don´t let the high price-tag of a US MBA scare you off without doing a bit of number crunching beforehand. :D
