How are you? I remember you from last year's INSEAD thread on bw.com. Have you applied to Jan 2011 class? If so, I think you have a good chance since currently there is no Pakistani in the program.

Yes JZ,

I had removed myself from the waitlist and then reapplied to R2 for 2011 J.

I had my interview done a few days back and it didn't go that well as I had expected. So I am not really positive about my chances.

Hi to all,

This is the first time I'm writing to this forum. I'm from Bulgaria, 25, M, WE in Real Estate. I've been waitlisted from R1 and still no news. I would be interested to know if there's anybody from Eastern Europe still waiting. My coordinator is Stefanie H, have any w/l students heard from her? It would also be great if somebody from the accepted students could post the stats for Eastern Europeans/Bulgarians accepted so far. Thanks in advance and good luck to all still waiting!

I'm not sure if this deserves another thread, so I'll just post it here.

I'm currently planning on applying to INSEAD for the Fall 2011 intake. However, I'm starting to rethink my decision as I will be making a career change, and applying for January 2012 would allow me to use the summer break for an internship, which would be extremely helpful in my post-MBA career.

My issue is this - If I apply to INSEAD for Fall 2011, and I am accepted, can I defer my attendance until January 2012? Should I advise the ADCOM of my thoughts on this? My reason for the early application is that I am applying to other schools for Fall 2011, and while INSEAD is not my top choice, I would prefer to know definitively whether I have been accepted earlier so that I can weigh all of my school options at the same time.

Span -- As far as I know, deferral is not an INSEAD practice. "Usually only for exceptional circumstances like medical conditions."

Chaitu69 -- R2 results are out next week, so maybe the waitlist will move soon after that?

As far as I know, a deferral is very exceptional... I've asked for one and don't have an answer yet.

Hi, all. Sorry about the late response.

Chaitu69 - there are currently 237 registered users for the 11D class.

Span - INSEAD has a strict deferral policy. I believe it is only granted on the grounds of medical reasons.

Iceferret - there are 9 Chinese candidates F-4, M-5

I just received Email from Marie. I am put in waitlist for R2 :cry:

My background:

Chinese based in Singapore
Age: 29
GMAT 730
Bachalor (1st class, honor), Ph.D in Engineering
2.5 year industry experience, 1.5 year research institute

One of my interviewers kept asking me to consider US MBA programs although he graduated from INSEAD. I am not sure whether it is the reason that I am in such a situaion right now.
