Got the interview invite email today (no names/locations for interviews yet).
Agree that date of submission makes no difference - I submitted 3 weeks before deadline but didn't even get the confirmation until a few days before the deadline that it was complete. No idea about whether earlier call/email means your chances are better (my gut instinct is it doesn't matter - we still have interviews to get through after all).
