Has anyone mailed his/her (sealed and stamped) supporting documents together in one envelope? It seems a tad trivial but my university and language institutes won't send my official transcript and language certifications out themselves because we have, quite possibly, the worst postal system in the world and I'd really like to get my money's worth at DHL. Maybe my neighbors in India can help me out with this?

My univ also wouldnt send it across by itself. So once I got the copies, I put removed them from the sealed envelope ( I dont think the 'sealed-envelope' is a very big thing with these schools , is it ?) and packed them back into a convenient package of my own.
I have received acknowledge about the documents being received and no complaints as yet about they not being in a sealed envelope :-D

Hi,

My university sent me a scan copy of my grades (so not certified) that I printed out and put along with a certified copy of my diploma in one UPS enveloppe. I called INSEAD before sending it and they told me that only one of the two docs (diploma or grades) needs to be certified, nothing about a sealed enveloppe.
I sent my GMAT and TOEFL results separately (I don't even know if it was needed as Insead was one of the school I selected).

I received some time ago a confirmation that my application was complete and under review

I've heard a speculation that Round 1 tends to be more competitive than Round 2. Any thoughts? Does anyone have conversion rates (or helpful description of) R1 v. R2 and R3?

I'd think that admissions criteria are a bit more stringent for American applicants. It seems logical, given that we have the advantage of scoring higher in the verbal section of GMAT. I doubt that it is more competitive than Indian applicant pool.

Thanks,

Indeed, Adcom said we should hear from the school by mid-May.

Hi All,

I am a waitlisted reapplicant and can try to help w.r.t. response time of INSEAD (based on best of my knowledge...:))

I guess, AdCom will start sending interview invites on Wednesday (11 May) and these will continue till Friday (CoB). Bulk of interview invites for Indians are usually sent on the last day(dont know why..:))

Hope this helps settle some nerves. I can completely relate to the anxiety (i am feeling the same despite this being the second time...;))

Relax .... we all will make it

Hi, Congrats to those who have got interview calls for R1. I have applied R2 for INSEAD 2012 Jan as I could not get in on time for R1. Its been slightly more than 2 weeks but have not received a confirmation email of the application being complete.

The only email I have received so far is the GMAT score reported confirmation (I reported it in March):

"INSEAD MBA Programme Information
Greetings!
Thank you for submitting your GMAT score report to INSEAD. Your name has been added to our mailing list.
For more information on INSEAD, here's how you can follow up..."

How long does it take for them to confirm a complete application?

Many Thanks.

Not that I have thoroughly examined the posts from the year-ago class... Nevertheless, it seems like some notifications went out unusally early this year. I think the general consensus is that Indian applicants are notified very close to the deadline--or day of. Both applicants who posted their interview invites are from Europe. However, we're dealing with a small sample. Interesting, but it's hard to speculate or extrapolate any meaningful impact on the rest of the applicant pool (non-Indian/Chinese groups).

I suspect that INSEAD is faced with an increased volume of applicants from non-EU countries, in light of the confusion caused by the recent changes in the UK post-study work visa rules. Several UK MBA programs have indicated that they saw a decline in foreign applicants, although not immensely devastating.

Good luck to all.

congratulations to all the early invites and good luck for your interviews!!! Now I will be very eager to wake up early every morning to check my inbox until may 13th :-D .. I was just wondering ... Does your pre-selection email provide a deadline for when the interviews must be completed ?.
