I just joined this forum. I got an interview invite last week waiting to hear from ADCOM on the details of the interview. Any one from Houston area on this forum? Congrats to everyone with an interview invite and best of luck to the rest, I am sure your patience will pay off.


Hey I'm from Oklahoma City. That's at least close to Houston and we're likely in the same industry (oilfield related). I assume for interviews I'll have to go to Houston since it's unlikely there are any here.

congrats to you too arctectonic. i believe once selected for an interview, each person has a little better than a 50% chance of acceptance.

i have applied for the singapore campus. i plan to go to the fontainebleau campus later. from what i've read and how everyone gets a certain number of points it can be best to do that so you save your "points" for electives you really want.

i just got an email from carol t. asking me if i can travel to dallas for the interviews. i emailed her back that i would be happy to do that! i honestly thought i would be required to travel to houston for interviews since exxon is a big employer of insead alumni.

which campus did you apply for?

Are dings and interviews interpersed, or interview calls sent out earlier, or rejection notices earlier etc- any views?

Also, do we know whether they work up till 5pm french time? In which case we have 20 more mins to hear back so i am not holding much hope for today!

Mine is at the earlier side of the alphabets and I have not heard back either way....maybe she is doing it backwards :P You batman? So difficult to wait now - hopefully we hear back today and not tomorrow!

I had spoke to one of the alums before applying and he said that chances of an acceptance are much higher than what you stated, I am hoping that is true. I still have not heard from Carol T on my interview schedule. Will keep you posted on my interview details. Also exxon is head quatered out of irving near dallas which is why you going to dallas is my guess, shorter ride for you :). keep me posted on how the interview goes...i have applied to the singapore campus...

I am in Minneapolis, MN and just got an email from Carol T saying that they can't find interviewers in MN. So I might have to travel.

She mentioned between now and early June for the interview dates.

Phew ... got a call this afternoon from A-M B. But not without some drama !

Missed her call (2:45 GMT) and she left me a voice mail. (Gave away nothing) ... then it was on to me to try and call her back and hope she is free. Finally got her at 4:59pm french time .. and bang .. the good news. Boy I was relieved and a happy man.

Will take it any which way it comes ! ;)

All the best to those still waiting for the invites. Last day tomorrow .. so keep the faith !

.... And so with today the curtain will fall on the R1 2012 show. Good luck to those waiting! Congrats to all those who got interview invites and commiserations to those who got to hear some bad news - I am sure Fate is only directing you to a better deal than INSEAD. So keep the faith!

I applied early for R2 and hope the app complete emails start trickling in and people start posting stuff on this forum re R2 as we get into the R2 season.

I have been following this forum, though I never posted before this. Just got the interview invite via call and e-mail from Stephanie Hanny. Can't express enough how relieved I am..had pretty much lost hope by yesterday evening..
