my list...again in no definite order

-try for loans
-start working on the scholarships
-m leavin my job in oct..start widning that up
-start a facebook group/netwrk with as many admits as possible
-pray/bribe/kick somebody to make the rupee stronger:(
-brush up on my french
-get the third language requirement out of the way
-party..HARD!!!

If you don't mind me asking, why do you want to have a gap in your employment ? My plan is to keep working until begin of December, and start school in Jan, so I won't have a gap in my employment.

here is my take:
1) scholarships
2) loan
3) take some cool free courses online (Udacity, Coursera)
4) quit job end of nov'13
5) get rid off not neded stuff in moscow
6) drinking party
7) exit language requirement, technically I am done, but need to double check with INSEAD
8) contact prospective recruiters to find out their plans on recruiting from singy. may be apply for pre-mba internship (if available)
9) active networking with admits, consider visiting INSEAD for orientation week.

My plans if accepted (in no particular order);
1. Sacrifice a chicken to the gods as promised.
2. Quit job sometime in November.
3. Get loans, credit lines and scholarships ready.
4. Sell car.
5. Write my DELF exams.
6. Travel.
7. Cancel all subscriptions, credit cards, etc.
8. Get in touch with network on internships.

what would be your plan for financing? Prodigy Finance does not work with HEC and french banks all require french co-signer. I like HEC's new program with focus on business analytics (in partnership with IBM), but i am very uncertain about financing options

i am bilingual (russian/ukrainian) and indicated that in the application. somewhere in faq I read it's enough. but I need to double check with adcom. just in case, I have an entry in the transcript about successful test in ukrainian language while at undergraduate college. so I hope it would be enough.

I would still use 1-year in insead to learn new languages, but without additional pressure

hv hrd dat HEC is more generous with scholarships
loans from banks based in India if prodigy is NA

btw hv hrd dat prodigy is not very dependable..in the sense that they may reject ur application for a loan without any reason
whereas in India if u hv solid collateral u will get a study loan..altho at arnd 12.5% interest rate:(:(

basically, your contract end in October o.o ? Why not continue working for some extra money.

Doesn't seem like rupee will be stronger in the near term. In fact worse is not over for the rupee yet. This fall is on the possibility of a winding down in US Monetary stimulus. FII have pulled a lot from Indian bonds already. Equity they are still restrained. If US goes ahead with its plan It will choke up capital inflows in emerging markets further triggering liquidation by FIIs

You have about 2 months for internship at INSEAD if you start in Jan 2014. So, some employers will, depend on who they are.
