'The Admissions Committee has decided that your current GMAT scores do not correlate well with the overall quality of your application, and we would therefore request that you retake this test. Although this is a final decision on your current application, it is above all a letter of encouragement and should not be seen as a rejection.'

Decourage Pas. It's not a rejection, you can retake the GMAT. I believe quant score is not that difficult to improve. Do more exercise then.
Does the letter mention that before which date, retake the GMAT and got a satisfied score, you can continue your application?

:) Well, if I improve it within a year, I only need to resubmit with a short re-application essay of the main difference between current application and the new application. Current GMAT is 650, Q42/V38. I'm about to submit application for other schools, so may begin studying for GMAT again soon after, but it will be for Sept 2014 intake.

Insead worths it. Good luck. The advantage of Jan intake is the internship I think.

Its not simple if your parents are not rich or you dont have a lot of savings (like me). Its not impossible but really a long task. Prodigy does help a bit but doesnt offer much to everyone and bank loans is a struggle (atleast in India). But ultimately you will manage somehow through family and friends (thats what I have heard :)). Its taking away all my time these days.

I'm in a similar position to you docks and it's taking up all my time and energy these days. I'm in the process of trying to convince my company that it's in their best interest to sponsor me - right now that's the only feasible solution I can see. Although they're only making the decision at the end of the month so I seriously need a plan B asap.

getting access to MBAconnect doesn't mean they will give access to INSEAD email. Yes, you got to choose your INSEAD email address. The INSEAD email access will follow about a month or two later. Email access maybe faster for R2 and R3
