Just received an email - am waitlisted! They will review waitlisted candidates on a monthly basis.

Quite a difficult spot to be in. One month means end of November! That will leave just about 40 days to get things ready.

can you share your profile

I got an email 3 hours ago.
Not admitted, not wait listed, neither denied... I've been offered a sit for the intake of january... 2015! That's because the admission committee believes that my profile is interesting but I need one more year of professional experience...
I didn't expect such a situation!

Just got the call, 18:30 AEST. Coordinator is JS.

Even though I've been frantically attempting to learn a second language in the past 6 months, I think I'm going to have to turn it down because I won't be able to meet the language requirement in time... A tad upsetting.

Dude, language requirement at INSEAD is a joke. DO NOT let this deter you from the best year of your life. I am serious. You are require to pass A2 level of the DELF exam, it is doable. I will just focus day and night on it along with other stuff like financing, visa, and travel plan

You are already pass the hard part, which is actually get into INSEAD. They like you and accepted you for a reason, dont let that reason go to waste

A few people have said that to me.. Although I honestly don't think I know a second language well enough to pass the requirement. I know basics for like 3 languages but holding a conversation in any of them would be an absolute nightmare! Haha. I need to speak to my coordinator about what I can do but I'm still waiting on her email about what happens now.

Any admits received an email from their coordinator about next steps, etc?

Haha. I can tell you that I am a guy and that no kiss shall be forthcoming in your direction. Happy to hug it out as if we're playing characters in Entourage though.

do you mean you will turn the MBA seat offer down? are you going for a different School

I don't have an answer for that right now... I'm waiting for the INSEAD acceptance email to come through before I make any decisions, but at the moment, it's most likely that I will have to turn it down and instead, go to HEC Paris.

Good luck and hang in there.

Hi, just because of the language? I've got the offer of HEC as well, but worldwide, Insead is much better.

I too have a similar suspicion. Doesn't seem too good for the wait listers. Also given January intake, a lot of the admitted students may not have the strongest reason (admission to a more preferred school since they would be starting in September and therefore not a direct comparison with INSEAD) to not accept their INSEAD seat. So, not a lot of seats will open up for wait listed candidates.

I have some info I research for those waitlisted

the Yield is about 70-80 percent. but the waiting list will be massive. so the math is 80% of 122 seats left for round three is 98 which means about 25 people will refuse their seats. the waiting list is about 100 candidates from this round , maybe 200 if we count those still waiting from rounds 1 and 2 . this means 200 people are competing for 25 seats , that leaves us with 12.5 % acceptance rate, ( similar to Harvard's overall acceptance rate) so really we are back to square one , as if we are at the beginning of the application seasons.
