Given that both LBS and INSEAD are top b-schools with comparable curriculum, I think total cost should also be considered. Which b-school do you guys think costs less overall, including cost of living, travel, visa etc?

I personally think INSEAD costs lesser than LBS since London is really costly as far as I know. Although the difference could be negligible, that’s something to research upon.

Have not been on my mind too much due to some good scholarship options in my country, but my take is that INSEAD costs more.

- Fee is higher than LBS
- Living in Fonty seems to be quite expensive for being a small city in France (still cheaper than London but see next point.)
- Singapore is the worlds most expensive city. (London was not on the top 10)
- You travel significantly more with INSEAD if you choose all field trips (Abu Dhabi, China, US, Singapore)

You cannot choose all field trips in INSEAD. You are given a fixed number of credits that have to be utilised for electives and field trips.
If you choose to spend more credits On field trip (like an auction system), you might not be able to get the electives of your choice.

My preference is INSEAD over LBS for 3 reasons
1) The INSEAD classrooms have more diversity and there is a personal touch when it comes to networking.
2) LBS is preferable for people who want to explore the domain of finance. For consultancy and strategy, INSEAD is the place to be.
3) INSEAD will let you study in 2 different countries.

Both are valid points and I agree that INSEAD is laser focused on consulting while LBS gives you more room to explore. And INSEAD at best costs as much as LBS does or maybe even more.

Playing the devils advocate here, and as a disclaimer, I still have not chosen.

1) LBS has more students and more nationalities according to all programme reports, so do not entirely agree on that.

2) Agree on finance, but LBS has a 45% placement rate ~2x the number of student into consulting, versus INSEAD´s 50%. So would say what you are getting with LBS is similar consulting placement but better opportunities in finance

3) If that is a "heavy reason", you can do exchange at LBS an get access to the US etc.

With that said, I do agree to some degree with all three points, but I think what I just mentioned above is what makes it hard to decide

Yes, take a look at the employment reports and keep in mind that London is the financial district of Europe (despite that it may be slightly on the downfall)
