Hi all,
I’m hesitating between three offers for Fall 2025 and would appreciate any honest input to help make a final decision.
Profile:
French, 22 y/o.
Bachelor from ESADE (Finance major), exchange at Thammasat University.
GMAT Focus: 615 (≈ 670 classic), GPA: 7.91/10.
Internships: Asset Management (Natixis Subsidiary in Paris), Equity Analyst (AlphaValue (Small Parisian Company, current), other finance roles (Wealth Management in Barcelona).
President/founder of ESADE Investment Club.
Career goals:
Short-term: Asset Management in France, then Geneva, London or Madrid.
Mid/long term: Progress in AM or if i don't like pivot to PE/strategy/entrepreneurship
I value analytical depth, but I also want to stay flexible and open long-term.
Potentially Admitted programs:
– INSEAD MiM (1 year)
– ESSEC MSc Finance (Corporate Finance track)
– ESCP MiM (Banking & Finance London, or Corp Fin Paris)
(Rejected from HEC, LBS, St Gallen for context)
What matters to me:
– Strong starting point in AM or finance-related roles in France
– Program reputation and long-term branding
– Career optionality (not just pure finance forever)
– ROI (no plan to do multiple expensive degrees)
My thoughts so far:
INSEAD: best brand, strong strategic value, very flexible. Concerned about weak AM placement in France unless I add CFA + relevant internships.
ESSEC MiF: most efficient path into AM/buyside, strong recognition in finance. But maybe less versatile long-term.
ESCP MiM: balanced option, strong enough in France, good flexibility and alumni, but less “elite” and depends more on how you use it.
If anyone has experience in these programs or hiring for AM / consulting in France/Europe, I’d love your take.
