How many days are required on an average to prepare the application for insead.?
Hi
Faith09 , INSEAD application is indeed lengthy (with 3 motivation essays and 4 personal essays), but to estimate how much time you would require to prepare the narrative for the entire application, it is important to know the 4 criteria INSEAD evaluates the applicants on. Once you are convinced that you have the following points covered well in your essays, you could start proofreading the essays and finalize the drafts
1. Ability to contribute
INSEAD is known for its interactive culture. INSEAD looks for applicants who are mature, energetic, highly motivated, well-rounded and possess strong communication and interpersonal skills. You are expected to share a unique perspective on things you have experienced in your personal and professional life. The ability to candidly accept your mistakes and reflect on your actions, successes, and failures in hindsight are valued. Your active community involvement, diversity or charity initiatives can show your passion for doing good, enthusiasm, and a well-rounded overall profile.
2. International motivation
At INSEAD, no 2 people would be from the same nationality in your study group. You may or may not not have worked in a truly international setting in the past, but you could take examples from various areas of your life to show you have the ability to develop perceptive insights on dealing with international work settings. A commitment to pursuing a global career is important. Share your interest in learning a foreign language or demonstrate that you are highly motivated to explore opportunities outside your country. Share examples to show adaptability towards other cultures and that you made effort to understand their perspective.
3. Academic Inclination
The INSEAD MBA has an intensive and rigorous academic curriculum. A good GMAT score and decent academics will help you to stay competitive. Highlight any academic accolades and recognition you may have received in the past. You could talk about what "education" means to you or to others in your family to show a deep-rooted value system.
4. Leadership Potential
INSEAD is looking for applicants who can demonstrate their potential as leaders. Leverage anecdotes from your professional life to demonstrate your leadership skills. Give examples to show that you motivated teams to expedite projects and deliver desired results, resolved conflicts with strong persuasive skills, influenced senior management's decisions with your keen observations and insights and generated value for your team and company as a whole. Show bias for action and conscientious decision making capabilities.
Best wishes
