That would seriously mess with me, if that was me being called by a french friend. Talk about putting your emotions on an even more (if possible) extreme roller coaster experience!

Same for me, I won't be able to sleep for the whole week and I have my LBS' interview to prepare...Dunno how I will manage that ...

Plus I won't have a +33 call ...Even if they call me... :-(

OMG I missed a call from them earlier today because I was in a meeting! I just checked my voicemail and called back, but it is almost 7PM in Paris, so I guess I will have to wait until tomorrow... Work productivity is totally out the window!

Thanks wjjw, although, I cannot say that is deserved at this moment. They might have called me to tell me that I'm WL, so I am trying not to get too hopeful

The call came from my coordinator, and she said she wanted to discuss my application. She's sorry she missed me and would try to call again later or tomorrow and left her direct number. That's it. Her voice was very even-keel, so I could not detect whether it was good or bad news (she's probably very good at these voicemails by now!). I will try calling her tomorrow morning to try and reach her.

The call came between 9-10:30AM EST (3-4:30 PM in France), and for those trying to find a geographical trend, I'm in New York City, USA.

No one can know for sure till tmr morning, it's in 10 hours, let's be patient.

Still, I'm pretty sure it's good news: they have enough calls to make for all the admits, it's hard to believe that they would bother to call all the waitlisted! it's even harder to believe that they start with the waitlisted...

And the coordinator must love the suspense, she should have just left the good news in the voice message!

So yeah, first thing I'll do tomorrow morning (based in Paris) is to come here check out what @nycgirl191 will tell us!

For R1 only successful candidates were called and not all who were admitted were called either. So if you got a call it is certainly the "good" news.

folks, how would you react when you hear from them?
the "OMG OMG OMG" expression is what will be inside me if i'm called, but i cant think how would i hide it and say thank you with a straight face/voice

In December, an R1 candidate got a ding mail on Wednesday....so I don't think there's a pattern. Every finger and toe is crossed!! Applying to INSEAD is not for the faint of heart
