As someone who was waitlisted in R1 and subsequently admitted, I can say that those decisions are either...

1. R1 Waitlisted getting accepted post 25th Jan first payment due date or

2. R2 applicants getting dings.

Dont panic guys.. Just hang in there. As a previously waitlisted candidate I can understand the anxiety and willingness to perform any other tasks, but patience pays..

I must admit I'm getting quite impatient with waiting for the INSEAD result. I'm dying to know whether i got in - praying for an admit! Can't say I'm able to concentrate on work these days amidst the interview stress and nervous waiting.

Cille, will you choose HBS or INSEAD if admitted to both? :-)

I understand that you're based in London working in the industry, would you please share profile?

traveler might be correct.

I just checked on MBA connect and count has increased from 184 to 192! May be they have started to roll out some admit news. But there are still a lot of places to go so hang in there...

Good luck for both admissions !

My profile is 25/F/Scandi/760/WE 3yrs/lots of international experience. Think I will make that decision once I get the result, but I'm leaning heavily towards INSEAD. My HBS interview went much better than my INSEAD ones though, so we'll see where I get an admit (assuming I will get one from these two which I know is a bit of a long shot...)

On another note - my stress levels just hit the roof - some people have received the call already??? Aaaarghhh

Just a guess but maybe they have already given the final answer to nationals of countries where only one or two people have applied but it is just a guess...

I was informed that a decision will be made soon after INSEAD receives both my interview reports. They didn't say anything about waiting till the deadline. Maybe this is specific to certain regions. I am in the Middle East.

I really hope that's not the case. i finished both my interviews very early - had my second one on 31Jan. so if the above is correct, i'm in trouble. Did you have your interviews during mid-feb? then it would make sense as 'soon after' would be around the 25th anyways.

My interviews were spaced apart by 2 weeks. I finished the second one on 11 Feb. So I guess you're right about "soon after" being the deadline. I certainly hope so. We're probably reading a lot into every word AdCom is telling us anyways

I desperately need to get busy doing something else because waiting for the decision is painful...

I did both my interviews in mid-Jan, and one of my interviewers actually mentioned that they make decisions weekly, after they get the interview results. It didn't upset me that much at the time because I knew there was no way they'd be giving me a decision before everyone else even finished interviewing! (although I suspect they immediate make 'No' v. 'Pending' piles) But now given the news that people are getting decisions already, it's making me nervous.

) its not coz simply i took my dose of worries n stress ! i applied in R1.. waited for the normal time THEN an extra couple of months on WAITLIST.. which is absolutely the worst thing that can happen to anyone.. its even worse than being dinged believe me ..
