I went to the London MBA fair on Sat and asked about the interview invites.. it seems that 90% of all invites go out in 48 hours before the deadline.
But the Adcom member I was speaking to , did not encourage detailing how they review the applications... geographical bins seems most logical at this point.
I also spoke to an alumnus and he pointed out that in his year, most people also got invites very close to the deadlines..
so.. there is hope for us all.... ATB

If it helps to know, this was the case in the D11 (Jan intake) round. Most got emails in the 48 hours prior, and don't worry much about the geographical bins. Don't expect a call or email outside of business hours, though many of the coordinators are hardworking and I did get a note at 7PM CET as my coordinator was leaving the office when I followed up on a previous note.

Why would they send out a few early invites? I'm curious to find out why they are special!
