RE: scholarship applications, the INSEAD Scholarship Guide provides: "Applicants in Rounds 2 and 3 will be encouraged to apply for scholarships after being selected for interviews." : https://mba.insead.edu/schlmgmt/index.cf ... ide&show=1

Therefore, I assume R2 interviewees should submit regardless of whether they have been advised that they are admitted.

Re: interviews, I supposed the forum would be this one.

I just had my first interview yesterday. Surprisingly formal, took place at the interviewer's office (very senior guy at a financial institution). Standard questions e.g. walk me through your resume, why insead etc. But in the end he said that he would be recommending me. So, nice result. Now waiting for my second one who sounds much more relaxed based on the email exchange we have had when scheduling the interview.

There are some reports in this thread. It's from the R1 applicants. Just look at the posts from around 20th Oct to 20th Nov. You should find some. I don't think there's a separate thread dedicated to INSEAD interview reports.

akrathi: I also haven't received any information about my interviewers. I got my invite on Jan 12th. I keep reading the invite to ensure I read it correctly and that I did indeed get an interview!

I wouldn't be too worried. I have only received information about one interviewer and its been 2 weeks since I got my invite. Don't worry. You have at least another 3 weeks to complete your interviews.

My interviewer didn't reply for over a week and when I finally called him (he was out of the country), he reassured me that he had read my emails and I would definitely be interviewed by early February. So give the interviewer at least 4-5 days before calling him.

An update of count on MBA connect after today would be great. Hope not too many have asked for and have been granted an extension for initial deposit payment!

Hey, guys. Here is another R2 applicant. Please count me in. I uploaded my application on 30th of November, received the confirmation email in 4 days, received interview invitation on 6th of January and on 19th of January completed two separate interviews with two Insead alumni. Now looking forward to hear from Insead.

Can you share your profile/location please? And perhaps give a quick recap of how the interviews went? I have my first interview tomorrow..

M/27/710/Ukrainian/6.5 years WE/ACCA+CFA Level 3 candidate
I arranged two interviews on the same day and it was not a very good idea (two much energy needed). First interview went very smoothly, interviewer was very nice but did not give any feedback. Then I had 4 hours of spare time before the second interview. Another interviewer asked very challenging questions and probed me a lot. It was a kind of light stress interview. But I received a feedback; I was told that I was the strongest candidate he had ever interviewed before. Hopefully, it is a good sign for me. During two interviews I was asked typical questions - why mba?, why now? why Insead? The last interviewer told me a lot about his personal experience and gave good pieces of advice. But on the other hand he asked tough questions about my leadership skills, my attitude to competition, my b-up plan etc. After all, it was a very interesting experience.

No, my admissions coordinator was very kind to offer me an opportunity to schedule two interviews with alumni living in Ukraine and there was no need to travel to other country. However, I visited Paris and Fonty Campus in early January. The campus is gorgeous; I have no hesitations to go ahead if admitted.

I am visiting Fonty soon, I can't wait to see campus and life with my own eyes. Not sure what I'll do for the rest of the weekend though (visiting fonty on Friday) - any suggestions? I've done most of the touristy things around Paris, and my only friend in town is out of town the weekend I'm going...

hopefully I'll hear good news in late Feb! (would be an amazing birthday present).

Hi, please count me in as well as an R2 applicant. I received the interview notification and just had the interview one day ago.

Since I am a reapplicant (was waitlisted and dinged for september 2010) I only had to schedule one interview.

My profile is:
M/28/730/Romanian/6.5 years (2 years IT and 4 years mgmt consulting - one year of which in Israel and Kazakhstan)

Can someone also please post the no. of Romanian admits from MBA Connect? Thank you.

Oh yeah almost forgot the interview impressions. My interview was pretty much by the book. I was asked all the basic questions why insead, why now, why can't you succed w/o it, what are your strengths and weaknesses, significant international "storries" etc.
Did not receive any feedback. The setting was formal (his office, both of us in consulting "uniforms") however the actual discussion was more on the casual, relaxed side.
