Has anyone received an update about the waitlist?

Posted from my mobile device

I was on the waitlisted. My AO just sent email today that I've got offered , home campus : Singapore.

I know that you are waiting for long time, and I hope your effort will eventually pay off.

I was in the WL for R2 and got the acceptance call this morning as well. Just to mention, I didn’t upload new test scores or LoR, just waited.

Hi, you have a WL friend here! I’m from R4. Noticed from the log you were aiming to update GRE score—how did it go, would they count in the change? I’m contemplating with similar situation.

Tips to Deal with MBA Waitlist

Being placed on the waitlist can feel like a mix of hope and uncertainty. However, staying proactive and strategic can improve your chances of converting your waitlist status into an acceptance.

Updates May Be Requested – While some candidates may receive a request for additional information, others might simply be held for further review without specific guidance.

Decisions Can Come Late – Some candidates are admitted off the waitlist as late as a few weeks before the program starts, though earlier movement is possible after deposit deadlines for admitted students.

How to Strengthen Your Application While on the Waitlist:

Express Your Continued Interest – A well-crafted letter reaffirming your commitment can be valuable. Highlight why INSEAD is your top choice and how it aligns with your goals. Avoid excessive follow-ups but ensure the admissions team knows you're still keen.

Provide a Meaningful Update – If you've had career progress (promotion, new responsibilities, major projects), gained additional leadership experience, or improved test scores (GMAT/GRE), share these updates.

Seek an Additional Letter of Support – If appropriate, a new letter from a senior professional, mentor, or INSEAD alum who knows you well can reinforce your candidacy.

Engage with the INSEAD Community – Attending admissions events, webinars, or engaging with alumni can demonstrate continued enthusiasm.

Stay Patient and Flexible – Admissions teams deal with fluctuations in yield, so decisions may take time. If offered a seat late in the cycle, flexibility in relocation and preparation can be an advantage.

On the bright side, being waitlisted is far better than a rejection—you're almost there. The school sees potential in you but wants to keep their options open for later rounds. If they weren’t seriously considering you, they would have simply said no. Rejections are easy; waitlisting means they’re still interested. Stay proactive, and you could turn this into an admit!
