Is \(\frac{1}{(y - x)} > x - y\)?

(1) \(y > x\)

(2) \(|x - y| > 0\)

IMO the answer is option A , only state 1 is sufficient and we get a definite No with this state 1

State 2 gives a yes and a no with different values . so insufficient

Is \(\frac{1}{(y - x)} > x - y\)?
Let x - y = a
\(\frac{1}{-a} > a\)
This is only possible if a < 0
i.e. x - y < 0

So, x < y ?

(1) \(y > x\)

SUFFICIENT.

(2) \(|x - y| > 0\)
Both possibilities exists.
x > y and
y > x

INSUFFICIENT.

Answer A.

Is \(\frac{1}{(y−x)}\) > x−y?

Stat1: y>x
then, equation will be positive > Negative. Sufficient

Stat2: |x−y|>0
if x >y then equation will be Negative > Positive. (No)
And, if x <y then, then equation will be Positive > Negative. (Yes) Not Sufficient

So, I think A. :)
