Hi
GMATinsight Thanks a lot for your inputs. Just to shed some light on my profile: I come from an engineering background and have an experience of 2+years in analytics.I wish to pursue MBA in marketing domain. I have an average academic record but work experience is relevant to the marketing domain. Now considering the above points what are my chances? Also if
I get rejected in the first round , will i be eligible to apply in the second round as well (with an improved GMAT score) ?
Chances are positive but not very bright because you carry only 2 years of work experience while there will be many from an engineering background with same score and 5 years of experience or more. With candidates such as you, We can only hope to be positive with the same score however strong candidature will be presented with a 720+ score.
Understadn one simple thing, Average GMAT from Engineering background is already 700 or more in ISB and with that you barely qualify the work experience requisite so saying that you have great chances will be incorrect. Only with outstanding extracurricular you can offset higher GMAT requirement in this case.
To answer your second question, NO, you can not apply in the same year once rejected this is the reason why students plan to apply in second round with better score than in 1st round with a fine score...
