haha, loom, good luck with all the stuff! :)

My UCLA drafts are done and ready for 1st round reviews. I will be working on incorporating reviews for my Haas essays this week, along with Starting stanford outlines and drafts. Hope I can get those done by this weekend.

well, for those of you applying R2, you're actually starting with about the same time as I did... so you're all early! :)

Yep I agree with Kryzak, I didn't start writing essays/going over materials until the end of August. There is plenty of time before R2...just not enough time till R1 deadlines ><

We're assuming the R2 is in Jan/Feb correct?

I've seen some schools with a R2 Deadline of December 15th (R1 was Oct/Nov 15) >.<

ok, yeah, I'm assuming January R2 deadlines specifically. For Dec, the time is kinda tight.

Wharton and Tuck essays were properly shredded by reviewers a lot of "good content let's work on presentation" stuff....Kellogg first drafts done, still no progress on LBS...waay behind schedule.

I am very behind, needed to postpone my GMAT test and now I have all the schools 1st deadline I want knocking at the door.

My list has 5 to 6 schools, and 5 of them with october deadline (I cannot meet for all of them), I am still thinking what would be the best strategy: apply for 2 or 3 in october, and then just on january the rest, or let all for 2nd round.

I hope to get Stanford done by the end of September (at least a good 1st draft or 2nd draft)... then revise all three schools and help my recommenders with their recommendations.

As for Kellogg... I had a long discussion with a friend yesterday. I probably would pick Stanford, Haas, and UCLA over Kellogg, so the only reason is if I get dinged from my top 3 choices... will I regret it come January when I get dinged that I should have tried for Kellogg, which in itself is as difficult as it can get to get admitted...? I don't know. Sigh.

My Kellogg essays are all done, still will probably do a tweak or two on each but I am satisfied. Chicago I have the essays basically done, they are out for a review right now...I have my power point planned out I just have to put it all together. MIT I have two of the 4 essays done, haven't even thought about the cover letter. Tuck, its simliar to Kellogg and Chicago so I am not to worried about that plus its due mid Nov.

The thing that is holding me up is my college Transcript. I sent away for it a month ago. I called today and the woman said they have been so busy with registering people for classes they haven't been doing anything else. I made her promise to send it to me on Monday, once I told her I was applying to masters programs and they are due in October she we apologetic and said she would move it to the top of the pile.

My house is stressing me out at this point. I hung 14 sheets of drywall yesterday, I have to mud and tape...this all has to get done soon since I had to remove the heat in part of the house and need to finish the drywall and install the hardwood floors before I can put the heat back in. I will need heat in a month so needless to say this is a horrible time for my sleep and nerves. Too much going on. I should hire someone to do the work but I hate not doing things myself.

well river, other than your house woes, you seem to have all your apps ready to go! Congrats!

I think my nerves will settle down more once I get my Stanford drafts out, and hear from my recommenders again.

Wrapping up my Chicago essays this week.
I am starting on both UCLA and Cornell today.
Probably start Cornell as it has lesser essays.

Not sure whether I am on track or not..

river, I thought that all the schools let you self-report transcripts anyway. So, for which school do you think you will be held-up if you do not get the official transcripts?

That's true, which schools accept self reported? Does any one has a list compiled?

Haas and UCLA will not admit you until you send in a transcript. Kellogg also requires a transcript before admissions, I believe. Stanford is my only school that doesn't need a transcript until after admission.

Found out that Cornell's R1 deadline is October 10. Completely forgot about that!!!

Full steam ahead.. gunning now to complete both essays in 1 week flat out and get Cornell done with.
Already working on the goals essay.. Thank goodness its only 400 words each.. less pain.

While working on Chicago. and UCLA.. tough times ahead

No I need my transcript since I don't have a copy anywhere to be found. So I need one to self report and to scan for some schools that make you do that. I know my final GPA cause its on some of my very old resumes on file.
