Is doing MBA really worth it?

Question

I applied for admission in MBA this year. But now I am thinking is it really worth it? Because I see many people who are MBA graduates but still unemployed or working for a very minimal salary in some small company.

If it wasn't of worth, the B-schools would be offering just a degree without putting so much time in assessing candidates, gmat exams, many other things. There isn't a single field in which people don't fail. It's quite natural. You cannot generalize something by just looking at few examples.

An MBA is only worth the expense, time, and effort when the graduate plans to work in a business-related field, in management, or as a company founder.

This entirely depends on what your goals are.... Is a PhD worth it? Is being a parent worth it? Again, it depends.

If you want to gain an amazing network and credential that will stay with you forever, I'd say it's worth it.

Regarding - ROI, this also depends on what you're earning now, the school you are going to, and the job you want after.
