I am on my last semester of my bachelors with a decent GPA (2:1). I haven’t gotten a GMAT score that allows me to apply to HEC but I have been accepted by Esade. I was wondering if it would be worth taking one year to work and try HEC next year or forget about it and just go into Esade. Please tell me what you think I should do?
Ps- I am pretty sure I can get a good enough GMAT score during the summer.

scastro hope you are doing well. Assuming you are talking about the MiM program, here are my thoughts
1. If you are a European, you cannot go wrong with either. Preference for region and language take priority here.
2. If you are a non-European and may work outside Europe eventually, HEC has a better global standing and has consistently shown great rankings in recent years.
3. To be able to leverage the school's alumni network for finding better professional opportunities later, look at the presence of alumni in leadership positions especially in the region or industry you are interested in. The MBA program ranking in my opinion affects the overall perception of the school. A better ranked MBA program would would provide MiM grads an opportunity to take advantage of the brand prestige. My vote goes to HEC again but I urge you to explore this on your own.
Since we do not know the specifics about your profile it would be difficult to suggest whether you would make the the cut to HEC by waiting for another year.
Warm regards
