Although MBA is professional degree, I still do believe that we can learn more and understand thoroughly about the principles in economy and business if you have researches related in practical business issues. This can help you apply in the real situations and solve problems systematically

There are other degrees that will value this more than MBA programs do. The vast majority of applicants and students do not have research experience. If you have it, then it's just one more thing to add to your profile. However, I don't think it gives a person any distinct advantage. Ultimately your GPA, GMAT, and Work Experience are the major factors that get a person admitted.

Thanks guys.
I'm an international student and I really want to have an MBA scholarship. My GPA is quite low, 3.5 ; I have 1 working year in a company,2 researching years with main topic about MNCs ( I could have some publications) and many experiences in extracurricular activities. I will graduate next year and intend to apply MBA scholarship after 2-3 working years.Do I have a chance?

A 3.5 is NOT a low GPA by a long shot. Not even close. Get some work experience and take the GMAT. Research schools for yourself. Then you'll have a better idea of your chances.
