Hi! Was wondering if it is possible if I want to be interviewed in-person, even though I am in India.
I am willing to travel to any city in India, to have UNC's admissions committee members/UNC alums interview me. I believe telephonic/skype interview is a possibility, but I feel that I would be more comfortable with a face to face interview.

Yes it is possible. But it cant be initiated on your end. As you know you can interview both before and after submitting your application (before deadline ofcourse), you have a chance to interview with adcom members when they come for the mba tour to India. But you need to get invited to it. And they send invitations to candidates who are promising.
I had a female acquaintance, with 3 years experience in consulting and a 760 GMAT, who got invited to interview in Delhi. She is now matriculating there with a full scholarship (Merit + Forte Foundation).
