Hi Beautiful people of GMAT club,
I appeared GMAT few months back and scored 650.So I have quit my job to prepare wholeheartedly for the GMAT and I am planning to join next year.
Apart from the studies, I am planning to learn a new language.

Does hold over a new language add value to your profile and accelerate your chances of admission to a bschool ?

It does, but when it comes to "how much": it depends on which schools you are targeting. Generally though, we would not advise anyone to stop working just to study for the GMAT. A new language will also not normally justify that decision on its own. It's a good thing, but it will not substantially strengthen your application(s).

You'll also need to have an excellent explanation ready for the gap in employment.

Hi Manas1212,

AjiteshArun made some great points. That being said, since you are asking an admissions-based question, you should reach out to one of the many admissions consultants here on GMAT Club.

When you get ready to dive into your GMAT prep, feel free to reach out, and I can provide some detailed advice.

Good luck!
