What about the other side or angles --insufficient

Using both the statements . It is a square !!

I would go for option C.

Statement 1 essentially tells us that d=90 degrees as well. However this can be either a square or a rectangle. So insufficient.
Statemnt 2 gives us information only about ab and ad. Nothing about the other two sides. So insufficient. Combining the two, if ab=ad and all angles are equal to 90 degrees, then it cant be a rectangle. Hence it is a square.
