W/M>5?

S1
Women make up 67/81 of the studio's members.
So, if W=67x, not W = 81x-67x = 14x
If we assume all these 14x are men, then 67x/14x<5
However if a part of these 14x are men and others are say children/teenager etc, then we don't know.
A is hence insufficient
It's not clear the members of the certain yoga studio in the question are only men and women

S2
The studio has exactly 42 men who are members.
No info on women
Insufficient

Even when combined we don't know exactly what portion of 14x is 42
Is 14x=42 or 7x=42 or 6x=42 and so on....

Answer E

If we assume the members are only men and women then answer would be A but that's not clear and needs an assumption

Hey, Welcome to the forum!
The answers will be revealed tomorrow. So "the system is not recognising it yet" is expected :)
And you can post the answers.

Hi @bunuel, how does this work? I already marked the answer in the choices but see that the system is not recognising it yet. Am I supposed to post an answer here in the thread?

P.S. - apologies if this is an inane question

You don't have to do anything. You can post a reply if you feel like it. When the official answer is revealed, you'll get a notification, and your answer will be recorded in the error log.

we need to find if ratio of women to men is >5
Opiton 1:
Women=67x
Total no. of memebers =81x
Men is (81-67)x=14x

We can get the ratio of women is to men 67/14 which is less than 5 . So we can conclude from the option. Hence it is sufficient.

Option 2 :

No Idea on the number of women. Total there are 42 men. We don't even know the total number. Hence it is not sufficient.

Correct answer Option A

Is W/M > 5 ?

Which means is W > 5M ?

Statement 1:

Women make up 67/81 of the studio's members.

let women be 67x and men be 81x -67x = 14x

67x > 5* 14x . That’s 67x > 70x ? No

Hence, sufficient

Statement 2:

The studio has exactly 42 men who are members.

we don’t know the total number of people in the yoga studio. Hence insufficient

Option A
