Is x negative?

1) n^3(1-x^2) < 0
2) x^2 - 1 < 0

A: any term can be + or - ,ionsuff

B: x lies between -1 to 1 ,insuff

A+B.. (1-x^2) will be positive only , but X can have any values betweenn -1 to 1

1--> insuff - if |x|<1 then -ve, and if |x|>1 +ve

2--> insuff -only tells us that -1<x<1

together--> 2 tells us that -1<x<1 --> |x|<1 -->combined with 1--
> n is negative--> sufficient

Both 1) & 2), even taken together, are not sufficient to confirm whether x is negative

We get |x| > 1 from both A and B. Insufficient Together

is this a correct question?

i think the Q should be

Is x negative?

1) x^3(1-x^2) < 0
2) x^2 - 1 < 0

i have similar Q some where in OG
