Thanks bb for inviting.

I am currently studying in Foster and Foster should set you to the success you mentioned given your post MBA goal is in tech industry.

I don't know much about ISB. However, I also don't see a real competition here as either of these two options could be the absolute winner depends on what you want. (Do you want to work or even move to US for a long run? Or would you eventually stay in India? What tech companies you want to work for post MBA? Which companies have the most of alumni in these two schools? Do you want to put yourself in a total new environment/culture that could potentially be more difficult but more refreshing during your MBA? etc) Try to think those kind of questions before you even think about which school should you join.

Good luck!

Totally agree! Foster is a great choice for the Tech PM roles. The level of the role will depend on your background and will be defined by your skills but being in Seattle you have a lot of access to many tech companies in addition to MSFT and Amazon (though those are usually the biggest MBA employers). There is a whole slew - Google, Facebook, Zillow, Expedia, all have big offices in Seattle area.

It really depends on where you want to be. I do have to say is there is no concept of placement in the US. You won't get placed anywhere. You will get leads and opportunities to compete in but you won't get placed. I don't know if ISB has that concept but you will have to work and compete for the job after any US business school.

Hi aab01
Congratulations of your admits! It's brilliant that you've managed to make it through to 2 competitive programs!

A small request. Could you to kindly update the thread once you've taken a call? I'm certain a lot of indians/international students (myself included) would be in similar situations in the future and knowing the reasons behind your decision would help a lot of applicants.

Thanks!
All the best!

Thank you for the advice - Welshy bb ExpertsGlobal

Like Welshy mentioned, I'm taking the time out to talk to a few more people from both these business schools before taking a more informed decision.

bb ISB does not guarantee any kind of placement either. But in India, colleges basically invite a lot of companies for on campus recruitment, but it's still up to the candidate to apply and convert the interview. Regardless, the fact that almost 900 students from ISB will be competing for these interviews, in my opinion, makes it roughly as easy or difficult as in any other US B-School to get that interview/job.

elPatron434 - yes, I'll update the thread as soon as I take a decision. Although that's still going to be a few days from now.

After reaching out and speaking to a few more folks, I've ultimately decided on Foster for the following reasons:
- History of feeding into the tech industry in PM/PMM roles
- Smaller cohort, which will probably allow me to foster stronger connections with the entire class
- 2 year program, which will allow me to explore more opportunities such as an internship to gain relevant experience at a relatively controlled pace (instead of a 1 year accelerated program)
- Not a radical difference in the cost as a result of the scholarship
- While I do eventually plan to work in India, I believe that the international exposure will be useful in developing on a personal and professional front
