Hello All,
I am Indian working as an Operations Manager in Amazon for the last 4.5 years. I am looking for an MBA to shift to Management Consulting or Business Strategy/General Management Roles.
I have received a full scholarship from Olin and none from ISB. Though I would have loved to work in the US for 3-4 years and bank upon higher salaries compared to Indian figures and then return to India but weighing the uncertainties with the brand value of Olin and visa scenarios in the US,( more so after the pandemic), I have following doubts.
1. Olin is not STEM, how much will that affect my recruitment in above-mentioned roles post MBA
2. Which institute offers a better chance to get recruited in the above-mentioned industries.
3. Apart from the lack of network, do you see any other disadvantage Olin holds against ISB if I decide to move back to India after a couple of years post-graduation?
4. In long-term considering, I have plans to return to India, which makes more sense better financials by choosing Olin but involving uncertainties and risks or an INR 40 lakhs loan and a safe bet with ISB.
