Congrats if you have been shortlisted for YLP Stage 2.
The competition is only going to increase from now on. But don't worry. We are there to guide you through the entire process.
It is important to understand that ISB is looking for people having clarity about their career goals - and that means connecting what you have done in the past and what you want to do in the future. There shouldn't be a disconnect, atleast in the case of essays. And, GMAT/GRE matters equally. So, good luck! Get in touch if you need any help.
Currently, we are sharing ISB Essay Book containing 30+ essays of successful admits.
How to apply in YLP now.? The first stage was completed in March. Is there a way or procedure to apply now.? I have given my GMAT. I have just completed my pre-final year of B Tech.
Hi Guys I too have been selected for YLP stage-2 and have consequently started preparing for the GMAT. Further, i have even submitted my evaluators details for the evaluation which is a part of the application. However upon recieving the link and scanning the required documents, the website is not accepting the documents to be uploaded. Can anyone here help me out with that? All documents have been converted to PDF format. Thanks
Hey what if I give the gmat in mid august and don't receive the official score report before the deadline, can I upload the test centre report in the application?

That's fine. You just have to submit the report you get right after the exam and ask GMAC to send the official scores directly.

You should shoot an email to people at ISB. I'm sure they will help you out.

I am also a YLP ISB applicant for this year. Just gave my GMAT and scored a 640. Any idea about what is average intake GMAT score because i know that 640 is pretty less for ISB.

Last year the ISB PGP GMAT average was 710. I don't know about YLP. But I'm assuming they like it somewhere around the same. However other components of the application matter too.

There is no minimum GMAT score, specified by ISB, and your application is reviewed in a holistic manner.
That said, the average score for the ISB PGP is above the 700 mark. Further, since you are a YLP candidate (with lesser work experience), the GMAT expectations are only expected to be higher ☺ Thus, 640, as you rightfully pointed out, is on the lower side.
So i submitted the application for stage 2 ISB YLP, but I mistakenly uploaded a full page coloured photo in 300 dpi, not passport size! Rest everything was fine and as per their requirements i.e. the photo was in formals, it was coloured, and was in 300 dpi. Only the resolution is bigger! The photo was in PDF. Will it lead to disqualification? Any inputs, anybody? There's still 6 days before the deadline comes up so I'm wondering what to do!
Also, the PDF file that has been generated after submitting the application on YLP portal does not have my photograph in it. I wonder if it's their policy to not put a coloured photo in an otherwise B&W PDF application, or is it because of the bigger size of my photo?

You should probably send an email to ISB asking them what could be done
Thank you, I did email them twice! No reply, though, but I attached a photograph with the required resolution too.
Also, I forgot to mention one thing- the 'Application inspector' was showing the application to be complete even before I uploaded the photograph. The inspector was showing the application incomplete until the mark sheets, passport, GMAT score etc. were uploaded, as these fields had an astirk (*) marked in front of them. But the photograph didn't. Nevertheless I uploaded a photograph before submitting the application, just like I mentioned.
Does it mean that it's not a mandatory field?
Secondly, no specific rule was mentioned outrightly regarding the resolution, and the upload tab just mentioned 'latest colour photo in 300 dpi', which I uploaded. It was only after I read the blogs and other posts that I inferred that they prefer passport size photos.
Also, unlike other documents, the photograph in particular was asked to be named as 'firstname_lastname.pdf'. Hence, it may be possible that the photograph is directly uploaded to a separate database
Has anyone given an offline evaluation. If yes, could you please tell me how long does it take for the evaluation status on the application portal to change and for ISB to send a confirmation email?
