Just thought I'd put in a thought or two ...
While we're all comparing about the new OG, maybe we should think about practising not using paper and pen, but using the new system Paterson is using. That is, using white board and markers. I've not done the test, but there's a feedback here that the white board is actually just white laminated paper. I'm not too clear about that, but it's worth to get a feel of actual test conditions. Maybe someone who has taken the free test can feedback on what the white board actually is, the dimensions, the number of sheets, types of marker etc....
Peronally, I feel using white boards can affect me a little especially since it reflects light and makes the eyes tired... but that's just me

Read this post. You'll get some insights about white boards and markers.

Additionally, somebody gave feedback that the test taker should not erase (by hand or something, because no eraser is provided) the work from the whiteboard, and if he or she needs more boards, then he or she must turn the used ones to get the new ones. The worst thing is that the proctor will give only two boards at a time.
If that is going to be the case in future, then those who make grids, write formulas, create time-reminders, etc on the scratch papers before starting the test must review their strategy, because the white boards going to be very scarce, and the test takers must find an efficient way of using the boards.
