Incomes, J / W = 7 / 5

i.e. If J = 7b then W = 5b

Expenses J : W : N = 9 : 7 : 4

i.e. If J = 9a then W = 7a and N = 4a

But given 4a = 2800 i.e. a = 700

J = 9a = 6300
W = 7a = 4900

i.e. Saving of W = 5b - 4900 = 1100
i.e. b = 1200

i.e. Income of J = 7b = 7*1200 = 8400

i.e. Saving of J = 8400 - 6300 = 2100

Answer: Option B

Here , we must assign different variables for income and expense.

Let's assume x is unit for the income and y is the unit for expense

Jhon's Income = 7x

Walter's Income = 5x

Jhon's expense = 9y=6300

Walter's Expense = 7y =4900

Nancy's expense = 4y = 2800

Given ,

4y = 2800

y = 700.

As per the question,

5x - 4900 = 1100

5x = 6000

x = 1200.

now

7x = 8400.


7x - 9y

8400 - 6300

2100

Thus the correct answer is B.
