Hi All,

I was accepted R2 to Johnson and was accepted to Stern last week. It was a very difficult decision, but I chose Stern for a variety of reasons.

Best of luck to all those who've applied and waitlisted, and hope of you will be able to take my space.

Hi
I'm an international student. So far I got answers from 4 out of 5 schools I applied to, and got accepted to 3 out of them. Johnson is where I want to study, and in my eyes, my best application. So far I didn't received any sign of life from the admission team. After reading the posts I am much more relieved. I am not a traditional candidate and I really hope to get the interview invitation soon.
Thank you for sharing the information, it really helped me.

Good luck and hope to see you in Ithaca !

Just gave up my seat at Johnson (R2 admit). Hopefully this opens a seat for another GMAT club guy/gal!

Just an update for the forum - I am a R3 applicant (submitted 1/24), application went under review on 2/9, I was invited to interview on 3/6 and I interviewed on 3/15 in Ithaca. My status just changed to:

"Complete - Your application is complete for final review by the selection committee. We will post your final decision or send an update by 9 a.m. Eastern time on the published notification date for your round."

Good luck to everyone during this final week for R3!

I've had the same status ever since I interviewed. I hope they come out early, really anticipating this one.

Hi,
I am an international, and received an invite last night...It says that I should contact the Adcom to arrange an interview in Ithaca...However, it will be strech for me to fly to Ithaca...The Adcom's post does not offer any alternatives; it says only contact us by this e-mail or whatsoever...

I think it is received positively by Adcom for an internation to fly to Ithaca to conduct an Interview ?
What should I do guys/gals? Any recommendation will highly be appreciated...

Since you're international, you can explain your circumstances (why you can't fly in even though you REALLY want to) and ask if it is possible to interview off-campus with an alumni, and if there are none available in your area, then ask for a Skype interview. I'm not international, but I might as well be considering I'm in Hawaii. Plane tickets were from $1200 to Ithaca so I emailed asking about alumni first and when there were none in my vicinity, interviewed with an adcom member over Skype.

Of course, while they would love it if you flew to Ithaca, it is not ABSOLUTELY required. I did Skype and still got in with some $$.

Good luck.

Its video. Make sure to choose the right background. Or creative background =)

Just completed my skype video interview with a 2nd yr student last night. It went pretty much as expected, but I was not really prepared for a question on the Immersion programs that I was interested in.

Got myself a plain wall as a background. Surely you can't go wrong with that! :)

Good luck!

just got off the phone with an Adcom member, it appears that some people will get the decision after Mar 27. For those who interview after Mar 27 (myself includ.), she said we can expect the decision to come within 10 days after the interview.

Hi,
It seems that Cornell does not offer any alumni or in-person interview in case we cannot come to Ithaca, right ?

They do, just call / email the adcom in your invite email and they can help you reach out to some alumni in your area.
I think they also offer the option to interview thru skype
