Hi, I took the GMAT in November '17 and scored a 740 (q49 v41). I am looking at a one year MBA programme and am interested in Judge specially with the new FT ranking out. However, I was wondering if applying in R4 makes any sense? Should i wait for next year or just go ahead with my application for Sep '18 intake?

They took a massive hit in the last FT rankings, why would be interested in them now? For what I know, last rounds are tricky. I was a last round applicant. They're usually harder, as places are limited and you'd be competing against the entire waitlist. But, if applications in that round are considerably less than expected, the last round can be more lenient. Judge's recent drop in the rankings may have deterred some applicants, so I'd say it's not a bad time to apply. However, why not also consider Insead and LBS? LBS MBA can be completed in 15 months if you opt for the bare minimum.

Hi lovay,
The last round is always a bit dicey and it can go either way. Your GMAT score is above the average score at Cambridge Judge and will definitely give you an edge. However, a lot also depends on the essays. Hence, if you think you can put forth a compelling set of essays, please apply in R4. Else, R1 in the next year will quite obviously have a much higher chance of acceptance for you.
