If we arrange the people on a number line.
The people on the left are taller than the people on the right

J---------K=N
L-------M
N-------M
Now, we do not know the position of N w.r.t. L so it can be
J--------K=N-----L----M
or
J-----L----K=N-----M

Seeing the cases above, only D must be true

combinng above we get---> J>K=N>M and L>M . So we are unclear about tallness attribute of L , compared to that of M



(A) Letty is taller than Nancy. Maybe We dont know
(B) Letty is taller than June. Maybe We dont know
(C) Kristin is shorter than Letty. Maybe We dont know
(D) June is taller than Maria. Yes
(E) Kristin is shorter than Maria. Maybe We dont know

1. June is taller than Kristin.
2. Letty is taller than Maria.
3. Maria is shorter than Nancy.
4. Kristin and Nancy are exactly the same height.

Pictorially representing the data with possible positions:

Based on the positions, "June is taller than Maria" must be true.

so June is taller than Kristin who is equal to the height of nancy and  Nancy is taller than Marier so,  (D) June is taller than Maria.
